Hi, I saw the "compiling" word, so I jump in ;)
If you want to compile your Basic! program into a stand alone APK, may I suggest you try App Builder ?
http://mougino.free.fr/appbuilder.html

See rfo-basic-app-builder-t695-50.html

I tried uploading to the ftp and got error:java.netunknownhostexception:ftp.laughton.com/basic/programs/applications/rotarydial/
and i have tried combinations leaving out the"/" and leaving off the rotarydial and all of those obvious things. it uploaded just fine to the parent directory(got deleted of course) but not any subdirectory. frustrating......

You are getting the error because there is no "rotarydial" directory in applications. There is a "rotaryphone" directory.

I do not have a clue as to why you are getting those errors or what they might mean.

I tried to access the ftp server using andftp and got the same error as yours.
It must be an AndFtp bug!
Get my RfoFtpStore:
http://laughton.com/basic/programs/appl ... pStore.apk
is much better and faster for this site!

My only problem with is, we cannot create directories. I am working on a bunch of things to enhance/fix basic, mostly enhance, like shorthand ie; ++variable , globals , auto function fixer, and more. But it has a few files that need to be kept together.

My program allows you to create a subdirectory to upload your files.
