I thought it would be fun to make a simple reaction time measurer in BASIC! I guess there are quite a few of these out there, but there's nothing quite like a nice home-cooked open source one written in your favorite language.

It will show a red block for 5+rnd()*10 seconds after which it will show a green block which means you
have to tap the screen immediately. Tap too soon and a yellow screen appears.

The game recycles after 5 seconds.

It's really barebones right now and the only way to exit is using the BACK button or killing the task.

I am not really sure about the latency issues in it yet... the fastest score I could get was about 290 msec (I'm pretty sleepy though)

I would like to add some stats and fancy graphs to it sometime....

Thanks Roy!

I uploaded a new version just now... I think I got the latency down from 15msec to less than 1msec
by using GR.MODIFY instead of GR.HIDE/SHOW

My best score is about 250msec in the morning

I think I like it better with a circle.

I think I fixed a couple more bugs and latency issues...

Today I actually hit 240 msec a couple times... Been averaging about 280-320 I think otherwise.

Roy-

Did you try it on Bluestacks?-- I was just wondering because not sure what the mouse click latency is on it.

I am not even quite sure how much latency there is with GR.TOUCH

Thanks Roy!

Just don't break the screen by tapping too hard!

I made some more changes:
--added simple average
--got rid of annoying little 3 sec popup message

Great!

A Highscore would be great, too!
