I've been looking for a way to do arbitrary character placement like the old LOCATE statement.

And ideas?

User evolbug has done something:-

stl-simple-textmode-library-t3817-10.html

I guess you could use tiling and make up a LOCATE X, Y command that way???

You probably guessed you can't do it with PRINT. In graphics you probably have worked out that even using a proportional font that doesn't work properly either. I think it has something to do with international characters/letters which are in some languages, bigger than others within their own alphabet..? And not connected to BASIC!?

There was a post about this somewhere, but I can't find it to verify what I'm saying rings true...

/basic/programs/other/_evolbug/libraries/libst/

^^ Looking at the post: Try to navigate to that folder. evolbug made updates, so I'm presuming that some folders may have changed.
