I have been using the 920 editor for Basic! on both my tablet and phone and it has worked perfectly. Recently I had to send my tablet for repair (including hard reset) however.

I have since reinstalled the editor and I can start it without any problems, and I can save and run programs from it, but every time I try copying a text it crashes with the error message:
UnknownException for java.lang.AbstractMethodError. STACK_TRACE: at jecelyin.android.v2.widget.Textview.onTextContextMenuItem(TextView.java:7765) at jecelyin.android.v2.widget.TextView.onKeyShortcut(Textview.java:7298)

The crash occurs irrespective of if I use the soft keyboard or the symbols at the top. The program even crashes just when I try to select a word. It is a real shame because it is a very nice editor that makes it a pleasure to program on the phone/tablet (thankfully the program still works on the phone)

Has anyone had the same problem as I, and more importantly does anyone have an idea about what to do about it?

All the best and hoping for help,

**örn

PS Android 6.0.1, it is up to date, and I have tried to delete and reinstall the 920 various times...

I have met crashes as well since my phone updated to Marshmallow.
I'm afraid the 920 Editor won't work anymore on newest Android versions...
Hopefully there's a replacement (I have been using it successfuly): 920 Editor V2 by same developer Jecelyin.
See post35597.html#p35597

Thank you for the tip Nicolas! I'll have a go with that one.

All the best, **örn (who cannot understand why the ** disappears from his name...?)

Hi Nicolas,
would you agree to share with us the parameter file for rfo-basic ?

And if you have the french translation for this 920 v2 maybe? :)

Cheers

Gilles

Unfortunately 920 Editor V2 doesn't allow changing config files at runtime, like the V1 did. You need to compile the full project to take new syntaxes into account.

I made a BASIC! syntax config file that I submitted to Jecelyin a long time ago, but I never had any feedback.

I'll see if I'm luckier trying to compile 920 Editor V2... last time I tried I didn't succeed.

I've been trying to compile 920 Editor V2 for 3 hours, I definitely can't make it :(
Too much dependencies not available in Jecelyin GitHub's repo, and many missing folders...

Gilles, you can still use the editor just for editing, and when you need to run the .bas what I usually do is to have an ES File Explorer opened in "sdcard/rfo-basic/source" accessible in 1-touch (with the "list of tasks" square button), with the files sorted by "last time modified", so I just tap the very first fle in the list which is the one I just saved in 920, and it's immediately run in BASIC!

Hope it's acceptable enough, sorry I can't make a 920 Editor V2 for BASIC!
