The recent problems with adaptive/responsive design in GW lib make me wish we had a BASIC! PC emulator supporting HTML mode, so that I can shorten the cycle of modifications/tests.
So I started to investigate...
It seems doable with Chrome on Windows, driven locally with the help of Chrome DevTools.
We need basically only 3 commands (corresponding to their BASIC! counterpart):
- load a page
(but this can be done manually by the user, e.g. by accessing http://localhost:8080)
- get a message from the page
Before I dig any further, is there any interest and time from our 2 "simulator" guys: gikam and evolbug, to add this capability to either BEXGen or TooBASIC ?
