Hi

Sometimes it would be helpful to be able to add a array to a group, as you can with a list:
Gr.group.list <object_number_nvar>, <list_ptr_nexp>

New group command:
Gr.group.array <object_number_nvar>, <array_ptr_nexp>

Yes, you can add an array to a list and then add the list to a group, but that is long winded
and uses more memory. Could use a list in the first place, but sometimes it is easier to work
with an array.

Also, mentioned this before but didn't get a response

Gr.get.bmpixel <bitmap_ptr_nvar>, x, y, alpha, red, green, blue
When you x, y is off the bitmap it those an error. could, alpha, red, green, blue
return -1 instead of getting an error.

Could do the same for Gr.get.pixel x, y, alpha, red, green, blue, for when x, y is off screen.

Thanks Roy

The point with using a list for Gr.group.list is that the list is linked with the group.
That means you can add and delete objects in the list (which you can't with an array) and
the changes would reflect automatically within the group.
I guess you can ask for Gr.group.list to convert an array to list, but as you said, you can
do this yourself with list.add.array.

Gr.get.bmpixel and Gr.get.pixel are reasonable requests but it's better if you seperate these
requests in the future.

Thanks, Humpty, for the reply

I requested them around 12 month ago, but got no answer.

I still think that, sometimes , it would be helpful to be able to add a array to a group, as you can with a list. I know it would have been of help in my latest project.

We will have to agree to disagree ;)

Below I've added an array to a group
Code:
gr.group snapFruit, bonusFruit[1], bonusFruit[2], bonusFruit[3], bonusFruit[4]

So they can be gr.move, gr.hide and so on
It would be much better if you could just gr.group 'snapFruit, bonusFruit[]' to add the whole array

Also how about being able to gr.modify a group ;)
