Simple Lunar Lander with scrolling mountains and moving stars..

I mainly did this so that I could try out the GROUP function

http://laughton.com/basic/programs/game ... nder_mook/

Press anywhere on screen to accelerate upwards...try to land on the green platforms

Not sure how fast this will be on older phones... It works pretty well on my Moto g4
There are still a few glitches in this since you can accelerate way over the top of the screen.
Might next add fuel limitations and also some animations and sound effects.

Thanks Roy!

I fixed a bunch of bugs:
Broken do-until loop, misplaced endif, and missing gr.close before exiting

Also I realized I only need two group lists instead of four to scroll the stars and mountains at different rates.

Runs pretty zippy now and I added the fuel limitation.

I forgot that there is no Gr_collision for line segments so I check for collision with lines by using a y=mx+b formula.

Great Roy! You'll be all set to colonize Mars

Following your example, I finally took the plunge and started using BlueStacks to do coding. It is MUCH faster and easier using the PC.
I added a cool explosion animation to this game pretty quickly.

It's on the Play store now:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .rfo.lunar

Curiously, it was the first app I had rejected because I initially used the name "Lunar Lander" so
I renamed it to "Planet Mook" and they then accepted it.

There are a couple of glitches, but I added a few simple original Atari POKEY sound effects which I generated on Atari800WinPlus and edited using Audacity.
The .a8s files and edited mp3 files are on Paul's FTP server also.

Not sure why the rate of playback seems speeded up, but it does sound very retro!

I enhanced the Play Store version by adding multicolor mountains and a soundtrack that a friend of mine composed on one of his albums...
Only major glitch I seem to have with it now is that if I tap the screen too quickly the scrolling seems to lag, probably because it is trying to replay
the soundpool loop too quickly.
