@Cassiope: I have tested your app with:

- GW 4.3 = hangs (some new functions you are using are not in this one)
- GW 4.4 = same behaviour, the keyboard is hidden after a short delay
- GW 4.5 = hangs with the error message as in my first post
- GW 4.6 = same behaviour, the keyboard is hidden after a short delay

@Nicolas: I have done tests with the GW demos v4.4, v4.5 and 4.6 = the keyboard stays open/visible

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Grand, I still have to do the tests with the Archos 101 IT (tablet). I will try to find the time to do this late tonight and report back.

I will also add one or two input zone in the demos just to see what happens

Have a nice day
Fred

I have done some tests on my tablet: the keyboard is hidden after a little delay (GW 4.4 and 4.6)

I have also modified the GW demo v4.6, adding an input box don't change anything the keyboard is still visible

One thing just pop in my mind: Im using hackers keyboard on both devices, I will desactivate it and try again today

Hi Fred,

maybe you could try without any TIMER interruption in my code ?

Comment Timer.set 10000 and
Code:
OnTimer:
  Time ,,,he$,mn$
  GW_MODIFY (ti, "lbutton", he$+":"+mn$)
Timer.resume

and say me...

Hi Gilles

Very good, love the colour schemes.

I can't do much testing because we do not speak the same language. ;)

Regards Roy

Here is DataPass_fr_en.bas (GW v4.6 compatible)

I do my best Roy ;)

Unfortunately you must delete your DbCr.cry file before using this version...

Cheers

Gilles

Hi Fred,

so this is a bug that depends on the use of the timer with GW but especially of the device on which it is used!
I haven't any problem on my 3 different devices.
It seems very very difficult to debug !

Cheers

Gilles

Still testing your app, I have found something else: when you search for something in the records you can't go back directly to the list of records. Your only possibilities are:

- select a record and validate/delete/cancel it or press the back button
- add a new record (via the menu button)
- go to the categories (via the menu button) and then back to the record list

This behavior can best be seen if you search for something that is NOT in any record. In this case pressing 'aucun objet' should cancel the search.

An other way could be to have a new menu item that bring back to the records list. I prefer this way.

Have a nice day
Fred

PS: your app is very close to something I'm searching for, ie a crypted contact book WITHOUT any link to the contacts on the phone (to protect the VERY sensitive datas I need).

In order to enhance your app to my needs I have modified your app to display the fields 3 and 4 (object and login) in the listview.

The problem is that the list view is not refreshed when the field 4 (login) is modified . Follow these steps:

in 'make_re', change
re$[n] = d$+"/"+m$+"/"+y$+" - "+WORD$(r$[n],3,sep$)+">LV"+INT$(n)
to
re$[n] = WORD$(r$[n],3,sep$) + "<BR>" + WORD$(r$[n],4,sep$) +">LV"+INT$(n)

in the listview the /objet/ will be above the /login/

(I have done similar changes in 'RefreshListview' and 'ViewSearchRes')

Now:
- select a record
- modify the /login/
- validate

the listview is correctly refreshed.

Press:
- /menu/
- /Catégories/
- /Back/

the listview is NOT what it should! If you close the app and restart it the changes have been taken into account

You can try this one Fred : DataPass_Fred.bas where I use the new GW v4.6 ficture of the GW_Listview multi-lines...
But records take up a lot of space on the screen!
And if a record have no login / password but only a Comment ?

About the output of the Search screen : it was one of my many problems... I even asked Nicolas to make active the selection of the current item in a Selectbox to save me !!
- the best way is to re-select the category ! So only 2 actions.

I was motivated by exactly the same reason as you ;) :D

Cheers

Gilles

Thanks for the file, I will test it as soon as possible.

No this does not work, I have already tried this, you keep switching between the old record and the new one. The only way until now is to close and reopen the app but this will be very tedious ;)

I think 'make_re' is faulty, it seems there are two list at the same time, the original records and the modified ones, and 'make-re' keeps on showing the original while 'RefreshListview' and 'ViewSearchRes' (which are very similar) show the modified records.

An other way to solve this problem may be to change the return point of the 'Back' button in the categories management, after all it's when it is presses that a jump to 'make_re' is done instead of a jump to 'RefreshListview' (if I understand well the way you did it)

Hi Fred,
I agree that the more intuitive way to end a chosen action is to use back key.
DataPass_Fred.bas updated with the "Back" action to get out of the Search screen...

But we need to wait for 2017 and the Nicolas's help to learn the best use of the new MENU function.
I don't know how to reset the menu to always see the title without leaving the page.
I can see (on my device ;) ) that GW_WAIT_ACTION$() return nothing from the MENU until another menu choice has been made.

Another point is that I'm not sure I understand all of your explanations, but my program seems to have a very different behavior on your device as mine.

One thing is sure is that it is very difficult to understand someone else's code ;)

Cheers

Gilles
